Our position and philosophy for empowering young people is that we must reach them at the earliest point of their development, and then guide them through a structured process where principles and values can be instilled in their lives.

Dare to Dream Academy

The Dare to Dream Academy ministers to children and youth, Kindergarten through 12th grade, on the first and third Saturday of each month. The Dare to Dream Academy empowers young people by developing their physical, mental, social, emotional and spiritual well-being.

The areas of concentration for our learning models include: 

      Education

      Character Development

      Effective Communication

      Emotional Intelligence

      Developing and Living with a Vision

      Establishing Healthy Social and Family Relationships

      Community Pride and Dignity

Education

A prime key to success, we will consistently expose our children and youth to opportunities to enhance their academic goals. We understand that some of our children and youth require additional help with their academic studies and we want to help. The Dare to Dream Academy will offer tutoring for our children and youth who need assistance in reading, writing, and math.


Financial Literacy

Our children and youth will participate in financial literacy lessons and activities. This learning component is developed to help our children and youth to make smart decisions about money from an early age to teach children and youth the basics of handling their money, finances, budgeting, and savings.


Self-esteem

A major key to success in life. The development of a positive self-concept or healthy self-esteem is extremely important to the happiness and success of children and youth. Dare to Dream’s self-esteem lessons and activities will be designed to help children and youth engage in self-reflection, examine their thoughts and feelings that either enhance or detract from healthy self-esteem, and learn effective tools and techniques for building positive feelings of self-esteem and self-worth.


Leadership

Dare to Dream will provide training to our children and youth that will assist in developing leadership skills that will prepare them to manage time, work as a team, planning, taking initiative and setting goals. Youth will learn and define leadership traits and learn the basic concepts of leadership. Our children and youth will have opportunities to have a hands on experience by leading groups and role play. Through the Dare to Dream Academy we want our children and youth to not only dream to be a leader, but know that they can.
