Children and Youth MinistY
The vision of the Canaan Christian Church Children and Youth Ministry is to partner with parents to nurture children and youth in the Word of God. Our purpose is to equip them to become disciples of Jesus Christ by teaching them to develop a strong prayer life, inspiring them to love, worship, and faithfully follow God throughout their lives.
The Children and Youth Ministry at Canaan Christian Church is made up of five components:
CANAAN'S Children Zone
The purpose of Canaan’s Children Zone is to provide an atmosphere and opportunity where children can be nurtured with the Word of God with the intent of leading them to know Christ as Lord and Savior. This aspect of our children’s ministry takes place on Sunday morning while their parents are engaged in worship in the sanctuary.
Children/Youth Connection Group Bible Study
The purpose of the Children/Youth Connection Group Bible Study is to help children and youth to learn the books of the Bible, to understand basic Christian doctrines, and to help them to see the application of scripture to their present life.
Middle and High School Connection Group Bible Study
Welcome Parents! We are excited to share with you the new curriculum we will be teaching from this year, entitled, The Jesus Studies. Each week you will be able to access the parent letter that will recap the previous Sunday's lesson. We encourage you to read the particular scripture verses and utilize the prompts and tips to engage in meaningful discussions with your child to ensure they have a clear understanding of the lesson they experienced on Sunday.

The Believers Service
The purpose of Believers Service is to help children between the ages of 11-13 years of age to understand the meaning of worship, what worship involves, and how to apply the worship experience to their life now.
The Impact Service
The purpose of the Impact Service is to help older youth between the ages of 14-18 years of age to understand the meaning of worship, what worship involves, and how to apply the worship experience to their life now.
Dare to Dream Youth empowerment
The vision of the Dare To Dream Youth Empowerment is to provide the nurturing and empowerment that will enable youth to grow and develop physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually so that they will become productive adults and experience a usable future.
