Dare to Dream Academy is the manifestation of a vision expressed through the leadership of Dr. Walter Malone Jr, the founder and pastor of Canaan Christian Church. The purpose of the Dare to Dream Academy is to prepare today’s generation for a usable future. To achieve this goal there are intentional focus
areas that build a foundation for a successful and productive life. This will be achieved through empowering, engaging, enhancing, and increased exposure
for our students.
Dare to Dream at its core is built on 5 pillars. Strengthening and aiding our students with their Spiritual, Physical, Mental, Emotional, and Social well-being.
All of these elements come together to make a complete student with character and high self esteem. The students in turn are now equipped to be a shining example in their home, community, and schools.
Dare to Dream Academy is located at Canaan Christian Church. It operates on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month from 9am to 12 noon.

Spiritual
We keep God and Christ first always. Our students start each session with a biblical lesson/devotional. We will consistently build and strengthen the student's spiritual foundation.
Social
Students will learn to work together to complete tasks. Our students will be able to express themselves clearly and effectively in a productive manner.
Emotional
Our students will have a healthy image of themselves. They will learn techniques to help navigate their emotions whether it be at school, home, or any other situation.
Mental
A sound mind is pivotal for our students present and future well-being. Students will be presented strategies to help filter and sift through all the information at their disposal. As well as guidelines to help mark progress.
Physical
Students will learn the importance of taking care of their temple. Ranging from physical activities to hygiene to the image we present to others. This will happen both through instruction and physical activity.
